I strive to give my students the best instruction possible in a relaxed, learning environment. Students also have opportunities to perform, work with accompaniment, and collaborate with others. My success as a teacher in based on my extensive knowledge, 13 years of teaching experience, and training in contemporary and classical musical styles plus a master's degree in voice performance & pedagogy. But my greatest assets are my love of singing and sharing the tools needed to achieve the ease, strength, and flexibility of a healthy singing voice. Now located in Los Angeles for 7 years after 6 years in Boston, my training is sought by a wide variety of singers including rock, pop, and R&B recording artists; actors and dancers who sing; musical theater performers in LA, Las Vegas, and San Francisco; jazz singers; classical and opera singers; fellow voice teachers; and beginners. Whether you're a beginner or an accomplished singer, you sing rock, pop, R&B, jazz, country, art song, opera, or musical theater, I look forward to helping you to improve your singing. |

The one piece of advice that I want all singers to have:
Don't look for a quick fix. Training muscles takes time. Years of bad habits are hard to break. Singing is a complicated physical, psychological, and athletic art. Athletes train with coaches for years to achieve success. This separates them from people doing their own workout at the gym. Always seek help from a teacher. We want you to succeed. | |
